What should my first ₹10,000 wholesale stationery order contain?

The short answer

About 14 cases. A case costs between ₹240 and ₹2,400 here, and a typical one is about ₹700. Spread them wide rather than deep: one case each of several character pens, novelty erasers and sharpeners, a few markers, and one or two sets. After a few weeks your counter tells you which ones to reorder in depth.

Why wide and not deep the first time?

You do not yet know which characters your customers will pick, and neither do we. One case each of several designs finds out in a few weeks, for very little. Then you reorder the winners by the case and drop the rest.

Nothing in our terms makes a spread-out first order cost more. The rate for a design is the same whether you take one case of it or ten.

What should I leave for the second order?

The bigger-ticket pieces — LCD drawing boxes, pencil boxes with games, bottles — sell well but take longer to move. Add them once the small things have shown you what your customers like.

What does ₹10,000 not include?

Our rates are ex-warehouse Rajkot and exclude GST and freight. We quote the freight for your city before you pay, so you know the full cost first.

₹10,000 is comfortably above our ₹5,000 minimum, so an order this size goes through as it is.
